Here you will find articles to help you use Pro Fund Accounting more effectively. 12 February How to change/add supervisor information for an employee By SuperUser Account payroll 0 Comment Pro Fund Accounting can help you keep track of your employee organization hierarchy by allowing you to add supervisor information to your employees. Adding or changing supervisor information in Employee Maintenance is straightforward, please see the steps below to get started: First we are going to define which employees are considered supervisors Go to the Payroll menu and click on Employee Maintenance Find an employee that is a supervisor of other employees Click on the Employment Info tab at the bottom of the Employee Maintenance screen On the Employment Info tab, there is a checkbox which is titled Supervisor Click on the Edit button shown on the right hand side of the screen To make this employee a supervisor in the employee hierarchy, check the Supervisor checkbox If this employee is no longer a supervisor, then you can uncheck the Supervisor checkbox and reassign the employees they were responsible for to another supervisor Click on the Save button to save the changes to this employee Repeat these steps for every employee that is considered a supervisor So now that we have a few employees marked as supervisors, it is time to start adding them to each employee they are directly responsible for. Go to the Payroll menu and click on Employee Maintenance Find an employee that one of your supervisors oversee Click on the Personnel Info tab at the bottom of the Employee Maintenance screen Click on the Edit button shown on the right hand side of the screen On the Personnel Info tab, you should see a dropdown list showing all of the employees that you defined as supervisors earlier Select the employee who is this employee's supervisor Click on Save to save the changes to this employee Repeat these steps until every employee has a supervisor or the hierarchy is as complete as you need After adding the supervisor information to each employee, you will have a simple organizational hierarchy through Pro Fund Accounting. This hierarchy becomes very important when using the PFA Works Timecard system, as the timecard system uses this hierarchy to determine who is a supervisor and who is the supervisor of a particular employee. If you are planning on purchasing the PFA Works Timecard system, then it is a good idea to start using this feature of Pro Fund Accounting. Even if you are not planning on purchasing the PFA Works Timecard system, having this information available is a good idea.
